About Myself
I attended Buxton College where I completed my NVQ in Childcare Level 3. I started my working life as a Nanny, I cared for 4 boistrous children aged from birth to 10 years old, I did this for 2 years.
I then started working as the Deputy Manager of Bumble Bees Day Nursery, my Mum was the Founder and Owner of the nursery. I worked here for 10 years, prior to my Mum retiring and selling the nursery.
My children were still young, so I decided to start Childminding from my own home. I did this for 12 years and it was very successful. I was so busy I had to take on extra help.
Then an opportunity arose for me to expand my childminding to a new location at The Hub, in Waterhouses, where I could take care of more children.
I opened Teddy Bears Day Nursery in May 2019. Every year the nursery goes from strength to strength, and I now have a team of qualified and dedicated staff who help me run the nursery successfully.

Carol Clowes
Carol is the Deputy Manager, and Baby Room Leader at Teddy Bears Day Nursery. She has 30 years baby room experience.
Carol worked alongside Myself and my Mum at Bumble Bees Day Nursery, where she completed her NVQ Level 3, and worked alongside us for 10 years.
After Mum retired Carol then went to work at another Nursery, where she gained more experience. When Carol heard I was opening up Teddy Bears Day Nursery, she contacted me for a job and I jumped at the chance to bring the team back together.

Maria Salt
Maria completed her NVQ in Childcare Level 2 at Leek College. She started working alongside Myself, Mum and Carol for 10 years. Maria and Myself Childminded together for 6 years. With her continued support she helped me to successfully open Teddy Bears Day Nursery.

Laura Carr
Laura has worked in nurseries for 22 years. She completed her NVQ Level 3 in Childcare at Newcastle College. She has a wealth of knowledge in supporting children with additional needs. Laura has had first hand experience supporting children with ASD and other complex needs. Laura is a valued member of the team.

Becky Howson
Becky joined our team in 2024. She works alongside Carol in the baby room, she's Enthusiastic, Caring and Creative. She is a natural with the babies.

Hannah Tudor
Hannah started working for me, with little nursery experience, she is now working towards completing her level 3 NVQ. She plays a big role in helping me to plan meals for the nursery and is very caring and kind with the children.

Star, my daughter is one of the youngest members of our team, she has decided to follow in the family footsteps. She is hardworking and committed, she has a great connection with the children. We all wish her the best of luck as she works towards gaining her Level 2 in Childcare.

Charlotte Howson
Charlotte joined us in 2024, she is an organised and enthusiastic person with a big heart who brings new ideas into nursery.
She is currently off on maternity leave after having her first baby. She is greatly missed, and will be back to join the team soon.
